College Classics is perhaps the most interesting of all Midland College classes to area senior citizens.  The program, which was initiated in the spring of 1989, includes a series of courses designed expecially for local residents who are 50 and older.

Classes are offered through a registration fee of just $25.00 per semester. Payment of this fee entitles the student to enroll in as many classes as he or she chooses. As a special service to the students for which the program is designed, many of the classes are scheduled between 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. The spring semester consists of three sessions and the fall semester consists of two. Sessions are four weeks in length.

The instructors of College Classics are recruited from among the Midland College faculty, continuing education teachers and community volunteers. With their areas of expertise and years of experience, these teachers truly bring to life each course. The generosity of these instructors allows the college to offer this unique program to a special segment of the community.

Midland College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award certificates
