Conversational Sign Language: Foundations
This course is designed as a foundation in developing basic conversational sign language. Participants will focus on the manual alphabet (fingerspelling), numbers, expression, body language, and basic vocabulary in order to sign common sentences and phrases. It will provide a foundation for communicating with individuals who are Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, including culture, and provide an opportunity for hands-on learning in a safe and non-threatening environment. Foundations is a pre-requisite for further course work. This class is located in the Marie Hall Academic Building, room 201.
