Basic Life Support for Experienced Providers

This class is American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Professionals with a proficient knowledge of CPR and the equipment utilized during a cardiac arrest in facility and on scene. The course will focus on the High Performance Team Activity and emphasize the importance of teamwork in achieving ROSC, with adequate Post Cardiac Arrest Care. The Team Activity will include compressions, bag-mask ventilations, intubation, IV, defibrillator/AED and medication practice. Students are expected to be proficient in these skills before class. Skills are not taught during class. Students must be Licensed/Certified Healthcare Professionals (RN, LVN, Paramedic, EMT, PA, NP, MD) in order to qualify for the course. Other BLS classes are available for persons new to healthcare. Students are vetted before enrollment to ensure eligibility.
