First Aid course provides instruction in critical skills to respond and manage an emergency situation. Students learn first aid basics such as how to treat bleeding, broken bones, sprains, shock, and other medical and environmental emergencies including usage of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Upon completion, students will receive a Heartsaver First Aid Course Card (valid for two years) and a CPR Card (valid for two years) by American Heart Association. No book required. Class Location: Simulated Life Center, 3600 N. Garfield.
