Matt Raglin started his oilfield career in 1985 with Diagnostic Services Inc, "DSI," a company that pioneered many rod pumping techniques. In 1991 Raglin formed RES, a company specializing in rod pumping optimization and diagnostics. After selling RES, Raglin joined Lufkin Industries where he served as manager of the Permian Basin automation group. He joined SPIRIT Global Energy Solutions, Inc. in 2008.

Raglin is considered by many in the oil industry as a leading expert in rod pumping design, optimization and diagnostics. In his 25 years in the industry, Raglin has been invited to speak at rod pumping seminars, at major universities and has held training seminars around the world.
